Arredondo Scholars award ceremony

BAKERSFIELD, CA - Before the California Dream Act, undocumented students in California had difficultly finding financial aid for college. A local business owner created a scholarship for local dreamers who need financial support.
Nigerian born, Adetola Adeniyi, 26, is one of eight Arredondo Scholars. It is a a $5,000 scholarship Jose Arrendondo created the fund for undocumented students before the Dream Act was in place.
Laura Arrendondo is Jose's sister and presented the awards to the students
