A wish comes true for teen

Seventeen-year-old Chris Goin had a big wish come true Thursday afternoon, courtesy of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Central California’s Kern County office. Goin, who was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia at 15 years old and missed most of his junior year at Centennial High as a result, wanted to have a truck makeover for his 2004 Chevy pickup. When Goin pulled into The Marketplace for a visit to Johnny Garlic’s, he was surprised to find his old truck with a new look.
