18,000 lose power in Bakersfield

A power outage hit 18,000 PG&E customers this morning.
The utility says it happened just after 4 Tuesday morning.
The cause of the outage is unknown and power was restored about an hour later.
The utility says the outage was centered in down town and east Bakersfield.
PG&E says high voltage power lines at a substation were damaged trigger the outage, but they don't know how or why the lines were damaged.
