Where to recycle your Christmas tree in Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Instead of throwing away your Christmas tree and sending it to the landfill, you can recycle your tree and turn it into nutrient-rich mulch and compost.
City of Austin curbside customers can recycle their trees at the curb. Just remove all decorations from the tree and cut any trees more than 6-feet tall in half. The city also asks that you do not put the tree in a plastic bag.
