Welcoming rains to continue in some area this afternoon

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The wet morning produced some heavy downpours that left more than an inch of rain at a few locations. As of this writing Round Mountain (Blanco Co.) measured 1.67" while the gauge at Walnut Creek near Kingsland recorded 1.09". Several locations measured between .25" to .75".Showers and thundershowers will continue for much of the area west of I-35 this afternoon.
