Water released from Houston reservoirs to protect downtown
HOUSTON (AP) — Officials released more water Monday from Houston-area reservoirs overwhelmed by Harvey in a move aimed at protecting the city’s downtown from devastating floods, but the release risked flooding thousands more homes, and the nation’s fourth-largest city expected to get still more rain.
