Warmest December on record carries us into Christmas

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Ho-Ho-Holy moly, it is way too warm for it to be December.Afternoon highs warmed into the 70s in most areas today -- close to 15 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year.
Temperatures on Christmas Eve afternoon will flirt with records with Austin's forecast high coming within two degrees of the daily record set in 1964. Highs on Christmas Day reach the low to middle 80s in the Austin Metro area -- the warmest Christmas since 1955, and the second-warmest on record.Ch
