VIDEO: Meteorite lights up sky over Japan

CHIBA PREFECTURE, Japan (KXAN/NBC) — Those who were looking up at just the right time Tuesday night in Japan got quite a show — a meteorite lit up the sky as it fell toward Earth.
People from the western parts of the country all the way to the northeast were able to spot it — and so were rolling dash cameras. One in Chiba prefecture captured video of the light, which lasted about three seconds.
