UT student assaulted, police searching for suspect

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police and the University of Texas Police Department are looking for a man who they say assaulted a student early Sunday morning.
UTPD tweeted around 7:40 a.m. that they had been notified of the incident by Austin police. They say the female student was assaulted on 26th Street between Pearl Street and San Gabriel Street earlier in the morning. They said the suspect is a Hispanic man wearing a hoodie.
UT Police and Austin Police were not able to locate the man.
