UT receives grant to develop self-replicating materials
AUSTIN (KXAN) — Researchers at the University of Texas at Austin are collaborating with other institutions to help create materials that can self-replicate and evolve, just like living organisms do in nature.Research from the National Science Foundation Center for the Creation of Abiotic Replicating Materials and Assemblies (CARMA) could lead to materials that can heal themselves, similar to how bodies recover from injuries, according to the CARMA information page.
