UT Nursing students practice worst case scenarios in disaster drill
AUSTIN (KXAN) — The University of Texas at Austin Nursing School is trying to help students know what to do if they ever face a large disaster like an earthquake.
They hosted a mock disaster drill, pretending to treat victims after a tornado hit a large football stadium. Nursing students provided first aid.
Social work students helped panicking victims and bystanders. They say it’s important training to maybe one day save your life.
