UT banned torches, masks day before rally by ‘American Fascist’ group

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The University of Texas at Austin made new rules prohibiting things like masks and open flames on campus on Nov. 3, a day before demonstrators with those items gathered on campus.
The rules were enforced right away, and demonstrators were asked by campus police to leave early Saturday morning.
The rules ban masks, facial coverings or anything that conceals the wearer’s identity. They also prohibit open flames, unless approved by the UT Fire Marshal, and body armor. Ad
