US 183 at SH 71 back open after semi crashes into bridge

AUSTIN (KXAN) — All lanes of US 183 at State Highway 71 are back open after a semi truck crashed into an overpass bridge in southeast Austin.
The semi was driving southbound on US 183 when it struck the bridge around 3:30 p.m. The Texas Department of Transportation checked the bridge and all lanes were back open to traffic right before 6 p.m.
Photos from the scene show the semi was hauling large spools of white tubing. Officers at the scene report there are minor injuries.
