Unknown man hit by train has been identified by family

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (KXAN) — Police needed help identifying a man who was struck and critically injured by a train early Friday morning in New Braunfels. In an update, police said his family has identified him.
The crash happened around 2:45 a.m. in the 500 block of North Hidalgo Avenue, which is on the city’s southside. When officers arrived, they found a man, who appeared to be in his 40s, lying near the railroad tracks.
