Two officers exchanged gunfire with suspect in southwest Austin

AUSTIN — Austin Police say a 23-year-old man was taken to the hospital after being shot by officers inside a southwest Austin home Monday morning.
According to acting police Chief Brian Manley, officers were called out to the 6200 block of La Naranja Lane at 12:30 a.m. following a 911 call from a woman who said her son was threatening his father with a gun. She also said her son had additional ammunition around his neck.
