Two major I-35 construction projects break ground

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two major projects on Interstate 35 begin Wednesday in an effort to reduce congestion.
The Texas Department of Transportation will break ground on a roundabout at 51st Street. This will be the first roundabout on any highway frontage road in the state.
Crews will also create an interstate bypass lane for drivers who complained that getting to Airport Blvd. took too much time. TxDOT says a total of 400,000 cars travel on this stretch of I-35 every day and new traffic pattern
