Two killed in west Austin wrong-way crash identified

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two men killed in a west Austin wrong-way crash have been identified.
Pete Steward, 44, and Michael Kollman, 56, both died after the collision on Sept. 10. Police say Steward was driving a Toyota Corolla the wrong-way on the 2610 block of Capital of Texas Highway, when the car hit a Nissan Pickup truck head-on.
Witnesses told police they saw the Toyota driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Capital of Texas Hwy. Steward died at the scene of the crash.
