Tropical systems and past flooding

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- We continue to watch the Gulf of Mexico as tropical moisture continues to advance westward toward the Texas coast. An area of disturbed weather is expected to organize in the southwestern Gulf early next week. The National Hurricane Center is forecasting good chances of a tropical depression or a tropical storm developing in this area as it moves into northern Mexico sometime in the middle of the week. Even though this potential tropical system will pass well south of our area,
