Travis County Republican chair resigns after 10 years

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Travis County Republican Party chair Matt Mackowiak announced on Monday that he was stepping down immediately.
According to a press release, Mackowiak served as the volunteer chair of one of the largest Texas County GOP organizations since June 2017 and succeeded Travis County GOP chair James Dickey after he was elected State GOP chair.
