Travis County pushes early voting to avoid long lines at polls

AUSTIN (KXAN) — More than 470,000 people in Travis County are expected to vote in the presidential election on Nov. 8. The Travis County Clerk’s office is asking most of those voters to step up and vote early.
“We need 30,000 people to vote early every single day of early voting in order to take the pressure off of Election Day,” explains Travis County Clerk Dana DeBeauvoir.  “If you’re one of those folks who’s already made up your mind about how yo
