Travis County now taking bids for new voting system

AUSTIN (KXAN) — When Travis County voters head to the polls on Nov. 8, the machines they’ll be using to cast their vote will be the same ones that have been in use for the past 15 years. Travis County Clerk Dana DeBeauvoir says if everything goes as planned, in the 2020 presidential election, voters will get to vote on a new voting system.
