Travis County leaders move forward with affordable childcare program

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — The Travis County Commissioners Court approved moving forward with its plan to give affordable childcare to thousands of local families. The matter to be decided by voters this fall.At its meeting Tuesday, commissioners voted in favor of the Travis County CARES Resolution. CARES standing for Creating Access for Resilient Families, seeking to expand access to childcare, afterschool and summer services for low-income families.Commissioners court will hold a publ
