Travis County could see first Republican senator in modern memory

AUSTIN (KXAN) — For the first time in modern memory, Travis County may have a Republican senator in the State Capitol.
The race for one of the largest Texas senate districts is underway. Senate District 24 stretches from West Austin, to San Angelo, all the way up to Abilene and then back to Belton and Temple.
