Tracking the Tropics: Watching the Caribbean for development this weekend

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- The first named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season is officially under our belt.Tropical Storm Alberto was short lived in the Bay of Campeche, but brought flooding rains and storm surge to the western Gulf of Mexico coastline.
Although there have been a couple other areas of interest over the past week, nothing that developed before dissipating.
The National Hurricane Center is now highlighting a tropical wave that just moved into the eastern Caribbean Sea. Environ
