Toy Joy opening second location as store celebrates 30th anniversary

AUSTIN (KXAN) — An Austin icon of quirkiness that nearly closed for good will now expand, just in time for the holiday shopping rush.
Toy Joy is opening a second location in the shopping center at 4631 Airport Blvd., right on the edge of Hyde Park and the Mueller neighborhoods.
This comes as Toy Joy gets ready to celebrate its 30th anniversary. They told us the city permitting process took longer than they expected.
