Tow truck crash shuts down I-35 in Georgetown for several hours

GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) — Drivers on Interstate 35 in Georgetown had to sit through some major delays after a tow truck crashed Thursday afternoon.
Authorities made the call to close the southbound lanes at State Highway 130 before 1 p.m. The freeway was back open by 4 p.m.
Georgetown police say around 12:43 p.m., a large tow truck hauling a garbage truck was headed northbound on I-35 when the driver suddenly crossed all the lanes of traffic and crashed through the center concrete divider
