Thunderstorm watch: Risk of hail, damaging winds, tornadoes today

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Scattered to widespread storms and showers are possible this afternoon into tonight with a severe thunderstorm watch in effect until 5 p.m.
A few spot showers may come before noontime, but the majority of the inclement weather comes after 2 p.m. Storms will fill in, particularly over the northern counties, late afternoon into the evening with the potential to bring very large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes.
