Thousands show up to audition for NBC’s ‘The Voice’ in Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Thousands of future musical talents filled the Austin Convention Center Saturday for a chance to be a contestant on NBC’s The Voice.
The open call auditions came before auditions on May 21 in Los Angeles, June 4 in Philadelphia and June 18 in St. Louis.
Many people who lined up this morning told KXAN that they have tried out before and that they know that contestants only have seconds to impress show producers.
