'This is no longer a free-for-all': APD makes multiple arrests in Austin park vehicle break-ins

AUSTIN (KXAN) — At least nine people are facing charges in connection with a string of car burglaries at popular Austin parks.On Wednesday, the Austin Police Department announced the arrests and revealed new details about an ongoing operation, targeting what it's calling a "large criminal enterprise."
The department said it partnered with several city of Austin and Travis County departments over the last four weeks to make 12 arrests, including multiple people who were arrested twice.
