Texas legislature proposes cuts to CPS, financial aid, angering Austinites

AUSTIN (KXAN) — State agencies across Texas are being told they may have to make some big cuts to basic services next year. The state legislature is proposing to cut the budget for agencies like Child Protective Services, financial aid, and food stamps by four percent.
