Texas Legislature begins hustling to revive ‘bathroom bill’

AUSTIN (AP) — The Texas Legislature has opened its special session with Republicans vowing to pass a transgender “bathroom bill” and other conservative priorities in record time and outnumbered Democrats trying to stall.
