Texas DPS investigating after 2 critically injured in tanker explosion

LEE COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) -- The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a tanker explosion off U.S. Highway 290 east of Giddings on Sunday morning, Lee County EMS shared on Facebook.The Texas Department of Public Safety said just before 11 a.m. Sunday, a truck tractor carrying barrels of crude oil was trying to enter the eastbound lane on U.S. 290 just outside Giddings, Texas. As the truck was getting on the highway, it collided with a car, DPS said.
