Texas clown threats keep police busy, and away from other work

MANOR, Texas (KXAN) — Parents are getting a letter after a call claiming a man in a clown mask asked a high school student to get in the man’s truck.
Manor police first received a call about a clown spotted near some mailboxes Monday morning. Later that morning, a high school student called saying she was waiting for a bus when the truck pulled up near Parsons Street and Bastrop Street in Manor. Police checked the areas after both calls, but did not find anything.
