Texas AG files lawsuit against Obama over ‘internet control’

AUSTIN (KXAN/AP) — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against the Obama administration seeking to halt the government from making the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) independent at the end of the month.
The U.S. Commerce Department has limited oversight of ICANN. The contract between the government and ICANN will expire Sept. 30. President Obama has said that he has plans to make ICANN fully independent. From shopping online to sharing ph
