Teen hit by Union Pacific train in south Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Medical crews are treating a teenage female hit by a Union Pacific train on Friday morning in south Austin.
According to Austin/Travis County EMS, the pedestrian was hit at West Stassney Lane and Rose Hill Circle. A Union Pacific spokesperson says the teen was walking along the tracks when she was hit. The crew on the train tried to stop and signal the teen with the train’s horn, but she did not move out of the way in time.
