Teen arrested after deadly shooting in Bastrop County

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 13-year-old boy was arrested after a deadly shooting Friday in western Bastrop County, Bastrop County Sheriff Maurice Cook confirmed to KXAN.The sheriff said the victim, identified as Steven A. Smith, 41, was shot and died from a gunshot wound.The teen was "released to juvenile authorities," the sheriff said.
