Students at Austin ISD hitting the polls early

AUSTIN (KXAN) – There’s a big push by the state to get younger voters to cast their ballots early this election.
At the Highland Mall early voting location, several Austin Independent School district students left the classroom and arrived to vote for the very first time. “I’m very excited,” Parrin Hayes, a high school student said. “Before this opportunity I got today, I didn’t even think I was going to come vote.”
