Student News Now: San Marcos CISD works to improve academic performance

In this week’s episode of Student News Now on KXAN+, the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District is working to improve performance at several campuses after the Texas Education Agency released its 2026 school accountability ratings. The district received an overall C rating with a score of 76, the same score it received last school year. However, five San Marcos CISD campuses received D ratings.
