Stalled train blocks South Austin intersection

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A broken down Union Pacific train is causing some issues for drivers in South Austin Friday.
The train is blocking the intersection of West Oltorf Street at South Lamar Boulevard. A spokesperson for Union Pacific says the train had to stop around 11:30 a.m. due to mechanical issues. The train was placed into emergency mode and another train is being brought in to help push the train pass the intersection, but it could take up to three hours before the train is moved.
