South Lamar corridor program nearing construction kickoff

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Massive construction work is gearing up along one of the busiest corridors in south Austin, city officials confirmed at the Austin Mobility Committee meeting Thursday.Austin voters approved a $482 million mobility bond in November 2016, which allocated funding to multimodal improvements, safety upgrades and improved connectivity for all transit users. That program currently has $255 million in funding for completed projects, those in construction or those awaiting a notice
