South Austin intersection cleared of stalled train

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A broken down Union Pacific train caused some issues for drivers in South Austin Friday.
The train blocked the intersection of West Oltorf Street at South Lamar Boulevard for nearly three hours. A spokesperson for Union Pacific says the train had to stop around 11:30 a.m. due to mechanical issues. The train was placed into emergency mode and another train was brought in to help push the train pass the intersection.
