Some special education classrooms now outfitted with cameras

CEDAR PARK, Texas (KXAN) — At least one school district in Central Texas has installed surveillance cameras in several of its special education classrooms after a new law passed last legislative session.
A spokesperson with the Leander Independent School District tells KXAN they have purchased eight cameras and three microphones. The equipment has been added to special ed classrooms at Henry Middle School and Vista Ridge High School, and Rouse High School is next.
