'So on board': Austin fliers react to Southwest assigned seating

AUSTIN (KXAN) — It will soon get a lot easier to pick out a seat on the airline that fliers take at Austin's airport more than any other.
Southwest Airlines announced Thursday it will drop its open seating policy after more than 50 years and instead move to one where people can select their seats in advance. The change to assigned seating excited Rebekah Sauer, who boarded her first Southwest flight in years from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport for a trip to the Florida Panhandle.AU
