Slight cooling trend continues into the weekend

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Triple digit heat continues to loom over us as July progresses, but there will be a very slight "cool down" this weekend.While we still hit triple digits, Thursday was slightly cooler than the past few days. This cooling trend will likely continue on through Saturday before temperatures bump back up again early next week. Unfortunately, it's still too hot to break out the winter coats, but we might be safe from heat advisories for the next few days.
