Signal lights back on after crash at Lavaca and 15th in downtown

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A three-vehicle crash in downtown Austin causing signal lights to go out was fixed faster than expected Friday afternoon.
The Department of Public Safety says the crash in the intersection at 15th and Lavaca Street — on the northwest side of the Texas Capitol complex — knocked out the main control box for the signal lights, shutting off the lights just before 1 p.m. The lights were returned to service around 4 p.m.
