Shooter dead after Alpine school shooting

ALPINE, Texas (KXAN) — A female student is dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound following a shooting Thursday morning at Alpine High School in west Texas. Another student was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the lower extremities, Brewster County Sheriff Ronnie Dodson told radio station KVLF.
The injured student was rushed to the hospital where their condition is unknown.
