SEVERE RISK: Storm coverage increasing into this evening

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A mix of sun and clouds will push temperatures into the mid 80s and will help destabilize our atmosphere. Storm coverage should initiate first east of I-35 and possibly back build westward. At the same time, an approaching cold front to our northwest will develop storms as well. As time progresses rain coverage from both areas of development will mean scattered to widespread storms across much of the area.
