Sergeant facing disciplinary action on handling of K9s

GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) — A Williamson County sergeant who lost one K9 and had another that was found with fleas, ticks, and sores is now no longer allowed to have police dogs in his care.
Williamson County Sheriff James Wilson will decide if any punishment will be levied against Sgt. Randy Batten after he attended a disciplinary hearing a few weeks ago. Batten was responsible for K9 Chico, who was found dead in March on the side of the road af
