School districts still struggling to fund state safety requirements, hire officers

Several years after state legislators passed House Bill 3, which aims to make schools more safe, KXAN investigators checked in with roughly two dozen school districts in our viewing area to ask about compliance. Overwhelmingly, districts that responded to KXAN said they still faced funding challenges.
