San Marcos schools catch fewer drivers passing buses

SAN MARCOS (KXAN) — After two full school years, the San Marcos police chief says drivers are getting fewer tickets for failing to stop as school buses let off children and stop-arm cameras record violators.
“I’d say the verdict is still out, but some initial most recent data looks like they’re having some effectiveness and I hope that trend continues,” said San Marcos Police Chief Chase Stapp.
